Cecilia Yanyi Fu
Growing up between Shanghai and Toronto, Cecilia draws on a multicultural journey to design across boundaries. Fluent in English, Mandarin, French, and Japanese, she uses this linguistic agility to place ideas in conversation with complex global perspectives.
Her practice explores typographic and visual systems, focusing on how design tools shape space, education, and collective experience across public-facing and interactive contexts. This has led her toward Editorial publication and Exhibition design, where those questions play out most.
Whether through 3D Modeling, Coding, or Curatorial Thinking, Cecilia aims to transform raw information into immersive narratives that bridge THE "STORY" & THE "PLAY."
This interest in research and stewardship extends to her work as a Education Public Programs Fellow @ the RISD Museum 🏠 and her role @ RISD’s Nature Lab 🌿, where she curates taxonomies and cares for the living collection. Her work has also been acquired by the RISD Special Collections 📂 through the American Printing History Association purchase prize.
