From top to is a exhibition of selected RISD Graphic Design MFA Works that came across The ancient gesture of opening a scroll—once deliberate and finite—has evolved into a cultural behavior that is omnipresent in contemporary life.
In From Top to..., scroll is no longer an object but a condition: endless, habitual, and expansive. Unlike the ancient scrolls, these scrolls never end. In its repetitive nature, scrolling becomes a bodily reflex that collapses time, mental and digital space. Personal experience morphs into digital archive as anecdotes, images, and gestures are collapsed from lived memories into an ever-expanding digital landscape.
